We do not take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.

Alternatively, requests can be faxed, posted to the surgery or ordered online via the link at the top of this page. Please ring reception for more details on how to obtain your unique password.
Please ensure you only order what you NEED. Medication waste costs the NHS approximately £300 MILLION a year.
If you are a patient on our dispensing list i.e. you live more than 1 mile from your nearest pharmacy you can collect your prescribed medication from the surgery. However, if you live less than 1 mile from the nearest pharmacy the rules do not allow us to dispense your medicines and you will have to get your medicines from a chemist. We can arrange for prescriptions to be sent to a chemist of your choice i.e. Skellingthorpe, Saxilby etc. Please note it is your responsibility to indicate where you would like to collect your medication.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
PRESCRIPTION EXEMPTION CHECKER
Many of us assume that we are entitled to FREE prescriptions, but getting it wrong could cost you. A new campaign from NHS England and NHS Business Service Authority aims to help people understand if they are entitled to FREE prescriptions and how to claim correctly to avoid penalty charge notices of up to £100.
All you need to do is visit www.nhs.uk/checkbeforeyoutick to use the eligibility checker. Answering a few simple questions will help you understand if you can tick the box for a free prescription, and what you proof you need to show your pharmacists when you're collecting your prescription, or when it's being delivered to you.
If you are NOT entitled to FREE prescriptions, there's other financial help available such as the NHS Low Income Scheme and NHS Prepayment Certificates. To find out more, visit www.nhs.uk/healthcosts.
